Australian conditions destroy furniture in three specific ways. Here is each failure mode, where it bites hardest, and the specification that answers it.
Fabric chalks, colours fade, plastic weave goes brittle and snaps.

Solution-dyed acrylic, where pigment is added before the fibre is extruded, so colour runs through the fibre instead of sitting on the surface. Weave is UV-stabilised HDPE rather than recycled PVC.
Rust bleed at welds and fixings, powder coat lifting from the frame.
Anywhere within a few kilometres of the coast — most of urban Australia.
Marine-grade aluminium frames instead of mild steel, and 316 stainless fixings rather than plated or 304. Powder coat applied over a pre-treatment stage and salt-spray tested.
Joints loosen, welds crack, stacking chairs splay under repeated commercial load.
High-turnover venues — pubs, cafes, aquatic centres.
Commercial load ratings, reinforced welds at stress points, and replaceable feet and glides so a worn setting is repaired rather than replaced.
